Headstock Options
There are numerous options when it comes to appointing your custom Breedlove guitar with beautiful, elegant embellishments. We have two stock appointment packages available - Master Class and S Series. You can build your custom instrument upon either of these platforms, and add/upgrade the options you desire.Peghead Overlays
Breedlove Master Class and Performance/S Series guitars feature an Ebony peghead overlay as standard, but you can select from a variety of alternate woods to add an elegant touch, and help tie in the headstock with other thematic elements of your custom guitar.
Headstock Purfling
Abalone top purfing can be added to any Breedlove headstock, creating a crisp and elegant outline for an already distinctive shape (example above shows the headstock of Exodus guitar - snakes are extra!)
Tuners
Both Master Class and S-Series instruments are fitted with Gotoh 381 tuners, in either gold or chrome finishes. These tuning machines offer smooth, precise movement and excellent reliability. You can also upgrade to Gotoh 510s, and add wooden tuner buttons fashioned from Ebony (other woods coming soon - please enquire for availability).
We now offer customized Tuner Caps for the backs of your Gotoh tuners. These are available in most of the materials we use for instrument binding, so you can coordinate accordingly.
Backstraps
Add a backstrap to the back side of any Breedlove headstock. In the 'tuner caps' image above, the headstock is fitted with a Ziricote backstrap, as well as a Bloodwood stringer running down the neck. A Myrtlewood backstrap is illustrated below.
